Randa, it likely would not be called narcolepsy, although is has very similar appearance. I can fall asleep in the middle of a sentence while holding a pen and never dropping it. My doctor did a sleep study and determined it was a serious case of sleep apnea which interferes with sleep at night.

Hi Scoop, I can relate to your sleep problems - all that you mentioned. I've missed the end of so many movies ...........wide awake for hours .....my brain just races.... have to be stupid with tiredness before I can sleep. it is more like passing out My son sent me some gummies for pain but didn't find them very effective. My grandson brought me some cream from a medical mara (pot)? facility can't spell the M word but this cream works - expensive - appears I'm one of the elderly who will have to choose. I'm heading to bed - will I sleep or not sleep, that is the qiuestion ..........Ann

I have similar ongoing problems - over the last 19 years they come and go but the fatigue has been a constant.
