How Many Of You Are Not Taking PD Drugs?
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’m interested in knowing how many of you are still not taking meds for your PD? Also what meds are most GI friendly since I have a sensitive stomach. The levodopa was awful. I stopped after 3 weeks.

Hi Barbara. I find that some days I’m able to walk great and other days I’m kind of a spazz. I just do what ever I can and rest when I’m pooped. As long as we try to get some exercise daily I think we are ahead of the game. I feel much better knowing that others are not seeking immediate relief through drugs at this early stage. The levo made me feel awful and like you didn’t really do much. I’m going to postpone drugs as long as possible. Hope you enjoy your day.

Not everyone gets tremors. I don’t have tremors but do have a problem with a stutter stepping gait. The meds were sickening so I decided to exercise and eat well until it becomes too much to handle.

No one way to go. It’s all individual.
