Ok I have fallen several times and I get real dizziness when I get up or just walking around.
My daughter took me to the lake yesterday and a friend. They were trying to get me to sit inside a tube float well I just felt like I was falling backwards so I got out. They were trying to help me walk to the shore line and I got so dizzy I started going backwards and fell. Thank God I was in the water. They had a hard time getting me back.
Has anyone else ever had that problem ? I was so scared.
Challenge yourself in safe circumstances. Enjoy yourself in familiar circumstances. Just keep moving.
It's really scarey I get that way looking at the water I don't understand why. I use to love going swimming at the lake but I guess not any more.
This was a more frequent problem before taking Physical Therapy "BIG"
I learned to slow down, really slow down. slower movement and slower steps, with hesitating periodically to reclaim sense of balance.
Good luck
Most of our family took a fun vacation in Hawaii a few years ago. The water was calm and beautiful. My grandkids desperately wanted to get me in the water. It was not fun. I felt like I was on another planet. Light headed and it was impossible to have the kind of balance I needed to keep from falling. I think it’s a Parkie thing because I lose all control in the lake as well. It makes me very nervous..I’ll just set on the beach 🏖 thanks!
