What Is The Average Life Span Of Parkinsons

That was one of the first things my neurologist told me when I was diagnosed. That it doesn’t shorten you’re life. At the time I knew nothing about Parkinson’s. Needless to say I was relieved.

Parkinson's doesn't usually shorten your life span. A bad fall might kill you and some people get pneumonia when they aspirate food, but the disease itself doesn't kill you. My father lived to 96 with Parkinson's.

My husband and I was in the conversation about PD not taking your life... he strongly disagrees...smiles
But I tend to agree... it won't take your life, lessens your quality of life, but a fall, break, pneumonia can definitely be the culprit. God bless to all... May the Lord shower your day with many blessings..
