Anyone Not Taking Meds For PD?
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’m recently diagnosed and have chosen to not take any meds for it at this time. My reason is that the increase in dopamine would likely make me manic as I suffer with Bipolar disorder too.
Just curious who might not be treating and for what reason.

Is your Neurologist aware of your bipolar? Are you taking meds for the bipolar? If so, then your Neurologist would know which medications you could be taking to go along with the bipolar meds. If he can not, then seek a new Neurologist ASAP.

Hi Lynnsey,
My HWP, diagnosed 2021, has Bi-Polar and takes an herbal supplement called Dopa Mucuna (Now brand). Not really doing as much as we’d hoped but also trying the B1 therapy. You can read about it on Facebook, they have a group called B1 Therapy. Check it out! 😉
