My left leg is giving me as lot of pain whenever I put weight on the leg. My Parkinson's started on my left side with tremors in my arm & hand. This started four years ago. Recently, over the last 3 to 4 months, it has become very painful to stand or walk. Currently the pain is restricted to my left leg. The pain is not constant but has become progressively worst over the last month. My tremors are still only in my left arm/hand.

Is this an expected normal progression of Parkinson's?

There is no 'normal' progression since everyone is different in the way they experience PD. Your pain could be PD related or it could be from your back or from sitting too much.

I would ask for a referral to a physical therapist to see if they can help with your pain.

I don't know for sure, but i have heard of P's patients having difficulty with pain. Sounds like a good question for your doctor!

I saw my neurologist and asked him about this. He said that PD does not exhibit this kind of pain. He said to go back to my PriCare and get a MRI of my knee and back. He suggests this could be sciatica.

I have the exact same symptoms in my legs. The more I walk the better it feels but I do use a walker
