Hello. I'm newly diagnosed (about a year ago) and my neuro is mentioning medication. mouth/lip/chin quivering and left hand shaking is getting worse and I'm scared. There are no local PD groups around my area. I'd really appreciate any info. Thanks

Parkinson's can't be cured, but the symptoms can be eased with medication. If your symptoms interfere with daily life, then it may be time to start meds. Most people with Parkinson's symptoms start out with carbidopa-levodopa. It helps with tremors and rigidity. It can affect the stomach, but most people get used to it. Just don't take it with meals, since protein can interfere with your body's absorption of the dopamine.

thank you to everyone who responded to my previous posts. I started on the carbidopa-levodopa and my neuro has me taking 2 pills three times a day. I am usually good at remembering, but if I am having a busy day I can very easily forget it and only get 1 dose in me the entire day. It does seem to have lessened the shaking in my left hand a big. I'm finding now that I have a lot of muscle quivering, mostly in my legs. Does anyone else have this and are there any tricks to making it stop?
