I'm not sure where my sister got one for her husband. My sister lives in Michigan, I live in Minnesota. I called her this morning but have not received a call back yet. I will ask her where she got one from. Her husband is a veteran and served in Vietnam so they are getting 100% benefits which is pretty amazing. They just had a ramp installed at their house and they are going to get a handicap bathroom remodel, etc . Glad the government is doing something for our veterans.

Yes,my brother in law has PD and he has a U step walker. It rotates so when you need to sit down, it makes it easier than a regular walker. If your neurologist prescribes it for you, it may cost you nothing depending on your insurance.

My sister told me that whatever benefits they recieve, she would receive 50% if her husband passes before her. We did a handicap remodel a few years ago. My husband graduated from West Point and was a captain. He served for five years in Germany. He only recieves 10% for hearing issues due to his specialty in tanks and the gunfire from those tanks,ie. hearing problems. We got a one time $2,000 amount to modify the home to be handicap safe. We chose the bathroom instead of a ramp or other safety items. We made sure that we put in a zero entry shower which is 5' x 36" wide. It is flush with bathroom floor so there is no threshold to step over or take a wheelchair over. No glass doors, just a curtain rod with curtains.
