My husband got pneumonia. In hospital they gave him X-ray, then MRI to diagnose. Could it be Asthma, COPD or interstitial lung disease ? Good questions to ask your Doctor. Found out hubby had pneumonia, and interstitial lung disease.

My husband has fast shallow breathing, feels like he isn’t getting enough air, but his O2 sat is normal. Cardiologist ordered echo and Lexiscan to rule out cardiac problems. He has a lung appointment tomorrow. Neurologist prescribed Amantadine in case it’s dysautonomia from Parkinsons which effects automatic functions like breathing. Will update after Lung and Heart appts.

I am not sure if it's from parkinson's itself, but I also have this issue. I think maybe it was selegiline I was taking fir PD and have recently been taken off of it, thank goodness. On Sinemet now, hoping to see a change in shortness of breath

I have severe asthma so I wouldn't know if the PD was causing breathing problems or not.
