The symptoms seem very similar. The only thing that I can see that is different is underlying cause of the disease or disorder. I have read alot on the internet and still don't understand.

Huntington’s is always genetic and Is caused by a mutation of the HTT gene. You can have multiple mutations if this gene. The more you have the earlier it starts.

Huntingtons is definitely genetic and appears at a younger age, usually, than PD. It is also more severely mentally disabling.

DavidBrown3, are you maybe thinking of ALS. aka Lou Gehrig’s disease? that is the one I think of when talking about the worst disease .
I don’t know exactly the difference but I read there is a discussion about putting Huntingtons under the same classification as Parkinson Disease. They must view the two diseases as very close. I guess that doesn’t tell you much except you’re not the only one thinking the same.
