Parkinson's can cause dementia. There is also a related disease called Lewys Bodies Dementia that is a Parkinsonism. At least half of people with PD will develop some cognitive impairment, but not necessarily dementia.

My husband suffers from cognitive issues. Lots of confusion and short term memory issues. Very different than Alzheimer’s. He most likely has Lewy Bodies. Many of his symptoms match this. He’s a trooper. Doesn’t let it get him down. Thankful for our good days for sure.
