I've always been hot, especially during sleeping. I noticed that it became much harder to regulate my temperatures after my Parkinson's diagnosis. I have an ongoing battle with regulating the air conditioning in my home. We installed all new heat and air in our home last fall. We removed our central hvac system, all ductwork and installed individual hvac mini split systems in every room. Removing the old system and all the ductwork eliminated dust and Alegent from our home. Each room us zoned with it's own mini split system and individual Thermostat.
I can set a room to down to the temperature I want, close the door and the rest of the home can be normal temperatures.
We love the new system and wouldn't even consider going back to a central system with ductwork again.

Same here “578.” My left leg too, is constantly moving and the night sweats? After serving in Vietnam where I suffered from “night sweats “ my neurologist at the VA believes that my Parkinson’s is related to my exposure to “Agent Orange “ when I was overseas, but I don’t want to revisit the past. I’m in a good place, staying out front of this “horrific” disease!

Insomnia is part of PD. I'm never sure whether the PD itself causes it, or the meds cause it. I just enjoy the time, reading & writing on my cellphone until I accidently fall asleep. Intimacy with my husband helps me get to sleep. I sleep very soundly for usually about 2 hours until the "Zing, you're awake!" hits me. I sometimes get really hot & sweaty or shake like an earthquake. If I missed any meds that day and it has been long enough since my last dose, I will take another dose in bed, chewing the pills (not timed release pills) so I don't have to wait an hour & 15 minutes for them to kick in. A glass of wine (or 2, or 3) will sometimes settle me down. A window air conditioner that I can turn off while I am in bed helps. So does fresh air from a partially opened window.

I too get hot 🔥 at night but don't take the covers because that can change in a second. That being said when I wake up and my husband tries to help me out of bed, I shake quite violently. It is getting better now that the doctor has increased my dosage of Sinemet. Ahhh the medication roulette phase 🙄 i hope its better than the Epilepsy one. That wheel dang near broke me. Buckle up i guess, bumpy road ahead 😏🙃

I wake up trembling and my left leg is constantly moving , then of course I have to go to the bathroom. Not very conducive to sleeping. I try reciting a poem or prayer to try to go back to sleep again.
