I really appreciate your response and it is very helpful to know how others are managing with their symptoms. What is the strength of these pills. I am assuming they are 25-100 tablets of Carbidopa/ Lavodopa.
Thanks again.
Please take care

It depends on the individual and how long they've been taking the medication and how well they tolerate it. Most people start out with a low dose and increase as time goes on as it becomes less effective as the person's natural dopamine production keeps decreasing. My husband started with 3 pills a day and now takes 8, three and a half years later. He takes 2 when he gets up, 2 after lunch, 2 an hour before dinner, and 2 later in the evening. We try to avoid taking the pills with a meal. When his pills wear off, he gets more shaky, feels the lack of good balance more, and feels mentally more foggy.
