Anxiety And Animals
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

My girlfriend has been suffering from Parkinson core quite a few years now, our older, Jack Russell is deaf, and seems to be afraid of her and growls and snaps, but sleeps with her at night could be the fact that my girlfriend has anxiety, that is making a dog fearful

No, I thought about that, but our dog loves her and does seem to be very concerned about her. Our dog sleeps with her and is always by her side. Our dog has collapse trachea, and also deaf. Our dog is a 15-year-old Jack Russell Terrier. I was just curious if anyone had experience anything close to this.

That doesn’t sound right. Most dogs will either try to comfort you, or run and hide. I have never seen a dog get angry in that situation. Could it be possible that she is inadvertently doing something else to anger or threaten the dog?
