I'm Sure I've Mentioned This Before, But Does Anyone Else Have "down" Times Between Doses Of C/L Or Stalevo?

I take Stalevo at 5:00 am, 10:00 am, 3:00 pm and then 8:00 pm. Almost without fail, I have withdrawal symptoms feeling weak, lightheaded, and nauseous. Don't dare drive during this, can hardly talk or eat. Sometimes I just lie down for a half hour until it's time for the pill. Unfortunately this triggers my anxiety issues. I try deep breathing, takeing a nap, anything to trick my brain. Does anyone have a similar problem and what are you doing to remedy. My doctor said maybe more C/L devises?

Yes, experiencing "down" times, or periods when symptoms return between doses of Carbidopa/Levodopa (C/L) or Stalevo, is common among people with Parkinson's disease. This phenomenon is often referred to as "wearing off." Stalevo, which combines Levodopa, Carbidopa, and Entacapone, is designed to help extend the effectiveness of Levodopa, but some individuals may still experience fluctuations. If this happens, it's important to discuss it with your doctor, as they may adjust your medication regimen to better manage these periods.

I certainly will, Lukas. I've been documenting daily. I see him next month for evaluation. Thank you for your input.

Shannon, please be sure to share these details with your doc. The timing or dose or interaction with other meds could be causing these issues and may be improved with some adjustments.
