"Is it okay to take lemborexant every night?
Lemborexant will help you get to sleep faster and sleep throughout the night. In most cases, sleep medicines should only be used for short periods of time, such as 1 or 2 days, and for no longer than 1 or 2 weeks. This medicine is available only with your doctor's prescription."
I understand the downsides of insomnia because I have at times had this and I am sure it would be much more of an issue if a person also has Parkinson's but that said I think I would opt for some of the other sleep aids to see if they would help before going the medication route. Or maybe a combination and only use the prescription less frequently and try to get help with sleep through other methods on other nights. I only say this because it seems like problems with insomnia require a long term solution and while help for one or two weeks might provide some benefit hopefully some type of plan that will work over the long haul needs to be implemented.

Ann, I have done several things over time and moved on to something different when the last id stopped working.
For quite a while light stretching and 10 min of controlled breathing to clear my mind. When that stopped helping, I took the lowest dose of melatonin and increased the dose slowly over time. When that stopped helping, I started with the lowest dose of Klonopin and I'm still on that. I hope you find your sweet spot. PD is hard enough, we don't need to add to the fatigue.
I progressed slowly because I wanted to avoid side effects as long as possible and still have options when the benefit wore off.
Wishing you sweet dreams,
Maria

have you tried chamomile tea, melatonin, tart cherry, lavender lotion to see if any of these would help? I have heard that valerian can help but I don't like being sleepy the next day but maybe that doesn't happen for most people.
