Never wear shoes that are too big. We don't raise our feet very high and if you have a shoe longer than your toe it will catch on the ground, floor, toothpick or whatever. The other answers were very good especially the Big Physical therapy. I went to one called Big and Loud. It worked on physical, speech and swallowing. It was great.Step Big learn how to speak founder. Throat exercises.

I had bunion surgery on my left foot. There is a numb spot on my big toe, but I don't drop either foot and I take 10 Cabidopa-Levodopa a day. I do walk like I am drunk though. Weaving back and forth. You wouldn't want to walk behind me. You would not know when it would be safe to pass.

My right side is the one affected by PD. Along with those symptoms, I also need my right knee replaced. Problem is, I waited too long and now my knee is deformed. With HF, I can't have elective surgery but my right leg had started to drag and I shuffled when I walked. Now, I'm practically crippled. I shared all that to give you some advice. If you feel (or hear) one of your knees pop or grind, see a orthopedist. In my situation, both of those together have caused some bad falls and I'm afraid one day I might be severely injured and even more disabled. I hope PT helps you.
