Exercise programs like boxing can be valuable for managing Parkinson's Show Full Answer
Hi Marylynn, my name is Wayne. The Movement-Revolution organization has a network of sites around the Chicago suburbs that offer Neuro focused exercise programs including Rock Steady Boxing at their sites. I started with an initial consultation and some training sessions at the Glen Ellyn site and added the RSB program at their Elgin site which is closer to me in Bartlett. I was diagnosed about a year and a half ago and the boxing/exercise class is working great for me at this point in my journey. I suggest that you look over their website and give them a call. The site is www.movement-revolution.com. I can give you some names and phone numbers if you would like.
Marylynn I would love to help but I don't even know where Chicago is ! You are more than welcome to any of the group's I attend. I know it's an awful long way but if you happened to have a private jet able to tackle Trans Atlantic flights I'm friendly with the guy who owns the small airport over the back of us. Give it some thought. 😎
