My husband hasn't tried stem cell treatment yet. It's pretty pricy and we only know of a place in Carlsbad, California. Plus, Mexico has clinics that does them. There's a beautiful place in TJ that has all kinds of treatments, including Peptides. Does anybody know about them for Parkinson's?Sent from my iPhone

What is the effectiveness of stem cell therapy for treating Parkinson's disease?
While the search results don't specifically discuss stem cell therapy, they do highlight several emerging therapeutic approaches being researched for Parkinson's disease. Current treatments focus on managing symptoms by boosting dopamine levels or mimicking dopamine's actions, but researchers are actively exploring new ways to potentially restore or protect dopamine-producing brain cells.
Some promising experimental treatments include:
• Gene therapy targeting specific brain areas
• Growth factor proteins to restore failing brain cells
• Immunotherapy approaches to slow disease progression Early clinical trials of these newer approaches have shown some encouraging results, though researchers emphasize these treatments are still experimental. For example, one trial using targeted gene therapy showed meaningful improvements in patients' movement symptoms, with effects lasting up to three years in some cases.
It's important to note that while these new treatments show promise, they are not yet cures for Parkinson's disease. Anyone interested in experimental treatments should discuss options with their healthcare provider to understand potential benefits and risks.
