Everytime I ride one I feel like I'm getting nowhere

It's a good way to get a cardio workout without much risk of falling. You can strengthen your legs too, by increasing the tension. We had a recumbent bike that broke recently. Jim stopped using it so we probably won't replace it, but I liked it.
