It has lowered my tremors down to maybe 25% of what I had. I was diagnosed 3 years ago with Parkinson's with tremors on my right side. Sometimes when I'm relaxed they are completely gone.
My issue has been fatigue. I've always been active and now no energy to do the things I enjoyed.

That's a really encouraging result with the nicotine patch — a 75% reduction in tremors is significant! While nicotine patches aren't a standard treatment, some people with Parkinson's have reported benefits, and research into nicotine's effect on dopamine pathways is ongoing. It's worth keeping your neurologist in the loop about what you're experiencing.

As for fatigue, it's one of the most common and frustrating non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's. It can feel different from just being tired — more like a deep, whole-body exhaustion that rest doesn't always fix. Here are some strategies that members of MyParkinsonsTeam have found helpful for managing energy levels:

- Timing activity during "on" periods — Many find mornings or late afternoons are their best windows for activity
- Walking regularly — Even short daily walks can help maintain energy over time
- Water exercise/yoga — Low-impact options that are gentler on the body
- Vitamin B12 supplements — One MyParkinsonsTeam member reported a noticeable energy boost
- Reviewing medication timing with your doctor — Adjusting when you take meds can sometimes create better energy windows

Always check with your health care team before adding supplements, as some can interact with Parkinson's medications.
