I read an article a while back that said that people with Parkinson's are often low in B2 and B7. Not sure whether that's a cause or effect. I would ask for blood tests to see if you are actually low before supplementing.

That's an interesting question! While B vitamins in general have been a topic of discussion in the Parkinson's community, the available research and member conversations tend to focus more on B6 and B12 rather than B2 (riboflavin) or B7 (biotin) specifically.

That's an interesting question! While B vitamins in general have been a topic of discussion in the Parkinson's community, the available research and member conversations tend to focus more on B6 and B12 rather than B2 (riboflavin) or B7 (biotin) specifically.

Some MyParkinsonsTeam members have shared positive experiences with B12 supplements, with one noting:

- "I have been up and about with renewed energy. I'm sure it is due to the vitamin B12 supplements I started taking again."

Before trying any new B vitamin supplements, there are a few important things to keep in mind:

- Some supplements can interfere with Parkinson's medications, especially carbidopa/levodopa
- The FDA does not strictly regulate supplements, so quality isn't always guaranteed
- Always check with your healthcare team before starting anything new

It's worth bringing up B2 and B7 specifically with your doctor, as they can check your levels and advise whether supplementing makes sense for your situation.
