My husband has been considering DBS. Who has completed the procedure and have any comments, pro or con. Length of time to get the electrode device balanced. Did it reduce the fatigue associated with PD. Any comments would be helpful from an experienced individual.
When I get up to use the bathroom during the night it seems like my legs and feet are numb and they have no feelings in them. It is hard for me to walk then.
We would like more feedback from patients who have used it for at least a few months. Our insurance just approved it, but we aren’t sure if we want to try it based on so many side effects. My husbands worst Parkinson’s symptom is freezing in place & not being able to move.
It looks like Carbidopa-Levadopa makes my husband very sleepy.

It is not necessarily due to low blood pressure as I am aware I have orthodontic hypotension as I get up very slowly and I keep hydrated,
