Try Boitene toothpaste and mouthwash I used during chemo and it helped.
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member It most definitely isn't in your head. Finally got a diagnosis after going to the second ENT Dr. He aid it is called burning mouth/scalded tongue syndrome caused by a chemical reaction from so many different meds. There is no cure as there is no way to know which meds are causing the reaction. He did give me some stuff to swish and that hs helped some. I'm not so sure that is doesn't go along with Pd.
I also use advair and rinse my mouth, but brushing your teeth afterwards is a good suggestion.
Hi jack I use an inhaler after each use you have to rinse your mouth out, otherwise it can cause oral thrush, this is the theory I'm working on at the moment,as well as rinsing,I'm brushing my teeth again as well,it's early days yet but will let you know if there is any difference,by the way the inhaler is symbicort
I had a sore on the roof of my mouth and it took 5 wks before it was healed. I still have some sensitivity on the roof of my mouth. Have used Rincinol (available at CVS) and use biotene tooth paste. I've heard the biotene gel also helps. I also use ACT dry mouth lozenges Hope this helps..
