I had my annual flu shot last year and an hour after the shot my arm started aching. The pain lasted a full month and was so bad that if I rolled over in bed at night, it would wake me up. I finally sought the advice of a homeopath, who prescribed magnesium and vitamin D3. The pain finally went away after a week of these two combinations. I’ve never in my life taken a flu shot until today. It seems compelling to me following my PD diagnosis a year ago that a flu shot might be prudent moving forward this discussion was helpful to my decision

My Primary MD is an Internal Medicines MD... but my neurologist is 80 miles away...My primary doctor told me his flu shots was not the live virus 2015 will be my third year to take and haven't had any problems. yet.

I take flu shot because having the flu could cause me more issues than mild side effect of shot. Discuss with you doctor to get medical opinion.

I stopped getting a flu shot because it can cause inflammation which is one of the problems with Parkinson's

I hope you discussed this with your Parkinson's specialist. Arm and shoulder pain is related to Parkinson's because we don't always swing our arms as normal do when walking.
