yes i too have a lot of pain in both my feet and legs, and they feel very stiff to walk onto after being in a sitting position. and when i wake at night and try to stand my drs as well told me it can be related to pd hope this helps you i soak my feet 3 times daily in warm water and Epson salts. and while im sitting i exercise my feet, by moving my feet in circular motions and moving my feet up and down and wigling my toes seems to help a bit hope this helps you, hugs
I also have severe stiffness in my feet after sitting. At night I soak my feet in scented epsom salts and I also use my heated rice bag to help ease the pain.
Yes, in the morning or if I have been sitting in the car for a long time. My foot is stiff and does not want to bend up or down at first but I just walk it out! Sometimes I lay in my bed and stretch my muscles before I get up. Sometimes though when I stretch I get a huge cramp in my toes! OUCH!
This was one of my initial symptoms that I now can relate to PD. My PCP had no answers, my podiatrist said I had plantar fasciitis but symptoms were atypical. He recommended orthotics but they offered no relief. Every morning for years I would hobble around for 30-40 minutes. I took a lot of Alleve. When I started Sinemet and mirapex, I was amazed to awaken with no pain and stiffness in my feet. I still have pain and rigidity in the morning in other areas and sometimes my feet but all of that resolves within 30-45 minutes of taking my meds. I'm scheduled for DBS surgery the first part of January. It will be interesting to see how that impacts these symptoms.
I have that same problem with my feet cramping up. I also have times when my toes stiffen up when I am sitting. Painful to flex them. Is it PD related?
