If possible, remove yourself from the stressful situation. My job was so stressful and toxic that all of my PD symptoms worsened significantly while I was at work Fortunately I was able to leave that environment and all of my PD symptoms improved. Also try yoga, breathe deeply and rhythmically. Take a walk. Practice mindfulness. If you believe, speak with a higher power thru prayer or meditation. Good luck.
I asked my Dad this question (good way to get conversation going...thank you!) and he said he takes it on like something he is going to fight and feels determined to win. For example, he said he'll ask my Mom if they can go to the gym or he'll do his exercises he's been given. For him, doing something physical is his outlet when he is stressed...me too. The problem is though, I'm getting to a point where I can still walk the dog and stuff, but for me to really lose stress I need to do an intense workout and I'm struggling tremendously now, because I can't. My Dad just stopped running and is doing other things, so he's still doing okay, although I can tell he's starting to get a little more frustrated, perhaps increasingly depressed, because he just wants to sit quiet and be alone in his chair. He still pushes himself and goes, God Bless him. I'm going to sign up for a month with them, just to support him and hopefully make him feel a little better? Best Wishes:) Tedi
I wasted so many years being shy about massage, but it's wonderful. I go at least once a week now.
I have been trying all different things. I have tried acupuncture and it has a really helped me. I can't believe the difference I have experienced. I am also trying massage, meditation and I want to try Reiki. The massage helps with my stiffness and with relaxation. Hope this helps.... good luck
Some how get away from the stress.
