Hi - my mom went on rytary 95 3xs a day in May of 2015. We noticed a big decline in cognitive - not being able to do simple tasks, confusion etc...over the summer. We have been working with a movement disorder specialist since October and have gotten her off all blood pressure meds and next week she will be off axilect. She wants to try a different Parkinson meds but didn't say which one. Has anyone gone off rytary because of cognitive issues? If so which PD drug did you switch too? thankd for… read more

Hi, girls. My husband was dx 2009 @ 64, he has been on Carb/Lev 25/100. He is currently on 2x3 during the day then a extended at bedtime. His mood has changed drastically about 4 months. We are Catholic and gone to mass each week. He didn't want to go but couldn't tell me why. Anxiety has taken the place of leaving the house. He sleeps in his recliner in front of the tv with the sound off and likes to have every light in the house on. Each day is a different set of situations, and we try hard to solve them. We have been married 50yrs the end of the month, so he's mine for keeps. You have to try and a sense of humor it helps when you want to go outside and bang your forehead on the bumper. I believe I have been given a gift of your knowledge and learning to live of lives and take care of our loved one with grace and dignity.

How fantastic JennyHartt! would you mind sharing? I am sure it would be useful for everyone....This is key to understanding your body and what things have an impact on PD....because even weather can affect how you feel so documenting your day is so helpful.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member I have designed a Word doc with columns and rows to explain how my symptoms are progressing, what difference the drugs make, what I also do (e.g. Exercise ) to try to improve things, what the results of these interventions are and, a score on a 1-10 Irritation Scale to identify the most troubling symptoms.
