what type of atypical parkinson you have? Any successful treatment? what is your prognosis ?
I have been to a recent visit to the Neurologist and after another examination he said he didn't believe I had Parkinson. He mentioned Parkinsonism but that a better description is "autonomic failure". So this means I display many of the symptoms of Parkinsons but not fully blown Parkinsons. The symptoms are poor control of blood pressure, sleep disturbance, muscular fatigue, dizzy spells etc. I take Lisinopril to stop by BP from jumping too high and clonazepam to prevent too violent reactions during REM sleep. I think the prognosis is a steady progress of the above symptoms just like in Parkinsons.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member HI Doug, Thanks for your comments, my neurologist when i saw him several days ago is now leaning towards a diagnosis of multiple systems atrophy, because of my symptoms, which is a subtype under the umbrella of Parkinsonism. I more or less have the same symptoms as you have. I noticed my freezing and balance problems have worsen during the past 6 months or so. Hoping your days are better every day.
