I often read how supportive spouse's are ... My friends and family are supportive but I live alone ... Is there a way to find other single people?
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, theres the crux:"id certainly rather be single than connected to a narrowminded jerk". The good ones have been really hard to find. So ill stay single, and put out plan b or c that requires no partner in the future. (ok, if elen degeneres asked me out, id probably say yes ;) otherwise ill wait to find a peach of a man.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member LOL i actually met two fellas who had Parkinsons online. One found me too "edgy/not christian enough" (i can only suppose he saw my bookshelf.) so the jerk actually ghosted (he had complained that this was something he disliked women to do to him....and another one who noticed my chest scars, and told me he had a friend he wanted me to meet who had the same scars. This friend had had parkinsons for a few years longer than I, was active but struggling. so i met both of them one afternoon, and all i could imagine about this "blind date" was that he thought his friend needed something i would be willing to provide...the second date, we looked at his FB page together..he had his main profile taken with a woman, who also covered most of his updates. i told him,, Dude, you have a Girlfriend!! and he said, well its complicated, as she lives in China, i said, so what? you are still in a relationship and not available for a real one ...i must give off "sucker' vibes. in fact i know i do.. :(

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member. Hello dear. Gosh...my husband and I were dining out at the Golden Corral and I look over and I see the most attractive man sitting all by himself. I noticed his right hand tremoring and thought...he has PD. I walked over to talk for a minute and found he was alone in that his wife had passed. I asked if he had PD and he said he did. He then told me he was 82 years old and still very active. He had the most beautiful and sparkllng eyes. I thought to myself, "If only he were closer to you" I could introduce you. Have you posted a photo of yourself yet? If not, that is the first thing he will want. I did not get his info but my husband and I go there about twice a month and I will keep an eye out for him. If I see him again, I will get his contact information for you.
I think he is handsome and you would like him. What do you say? Sterling
PS. Don't be afraid to walk up to an obviously alone man and say hello and then talk about something clever. How bad do you want a companion? You can think of something.
