yes, its been well-documented that losing ones sense of smell is so common in PwPD that it is being considered as a predictor of PD.. reflexes are hyper, including your startle reflex because of your Parkinsons too. Remember PD is a brain disease, not just a movement disorder.

Yes to both , I have noticed that I startle very easily I have been diagnosed with PD for 18 months

Haven't heard my doctor say it is part of PD but I know I am startled by sounds, movements and such, much more than my husband. Yes, my sense of smell is not what it was either.

I have dry eye syndrome I didn't realise it was part of PD , loss of sense of smell is apparently very common mine is poor but not gone all together .
