One of my first symptoms was a sensory change in both hands. I could describe it as 'numbness' but it was even more weird--it was almost a hypersensitivity to touch. I ciuld not touch cloth because it felt too rough and irritated my hands. The sensory change was bilateral even though my classic tremors eventually were left-sided. It started me on a round of useless neurosensory testing by neurologists. Took about 2 years and change in signs and symptoms to get the correct PD diagnosis.

I get numbness in my fingers and toes... Sometimes one whole foot.

yep - especially in right foot. Comes and goes

I have an appointment with an orthopedist next week, and my neuro in August. Maybe one of them will shed some light on this. Does anyone else have twisting in the hips?

So far, each person has added that they experience numbness in some extremity. Is it part of Parkinson's? AnneGeeringGaunder commented that she thinks its part of the way her hips are twisting? Is hip twisting part of Parkinson's? How can we find answers?
