I have been taking it for a couple years, 2 per day. Side effects? Not really but if i'm late or miss one i notice the difference. I'm taking azilect, amantadine, stalevo and sinemet when i have chimio. The only one i really had bad side effects was Mirapex, had to stop it.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member,

Do you happen to take BP meds for high blood pressure? Shortly after I started taking Sinemet 25/100mg x 9 per day.... I got really light headed / dizzy when I would stand up and such.... For me, all it took was reducing my BP meds in HALF.... and life was immediately better... Many PD meds, and definitely Sinemet effects one blood pressure and will need to be adjusted... once done life has been very good.

Hope that helps... What was your daily dosage when you got this light headedness? Alan

I've been taking Amantadine ,one per day now for 2 weeks without any side affects. My test on how it was doing came Sunday at Church. This is where I really noticed my head nods & shakes the most. This Sunday they were all gone. So far, I'm feeling good about my new med. Note, I'm still taking Sinemet for my hand tremors.
