Sinemet
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

Sinemet has just been prescribed for my husband who also has glaucoma. I read that Sinemet is not recommended in this situation. Is this true?

I take various types and strengths of Sinemet. Since I wear glasses and have PD, my opthamoligist sees me once a year. I developed narrow angle glaucoma and was treated in his office by a simple procedure. I'm going to mark you on my team, so feel free to post any questions.

Good luck

From what I have just read it is a contradiction to take Sinement with narrow angle glaucoma. I am not a doctor, just a person who does read a little medical books from time to time.

John had severe Glaucoma and had to have surgery in his right eye and some vision loss. He has eyedrops every day and sees the opthamoligist 3 times a year. Thank you adding me to your team. I have added you to mine. John is originally from Pennsylvania
