Oddly enough, I have really quick reflexes. Seems like a contradiction. But when I'm driving I hardly shake at all and when I've needed to brake quickly, BAM – it's done without a thought. Hard to explain. Getting out of the car, however, seems to require different movements and somehow there's a Misconnection turning & placing them onto the pavement. Once there, I'm fine. @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member On a good day, like today, I ran a bunch of errands, and hopped in and out of the car with little effort. I'm gradually learning different ways to get in and out and what works best.
I have a solution to the toe curling, put on a tight pair of sneakers. This prevents my toes from curling too much. If I have no shoes on or sandals, the curling is unbearable and painful but with sneakers it is ok. It works for me. Many times I sleep with my sneakers on to prevent the curling. I call them my bed sneakers. My husband just loves them!!!!! Bean
I don’t read posts about pain, but that is my biggest issue. Has been since December. I’ve only experienced PD symptoms since august 2020.
