I was laying in bed and my right hand shakes most of the time so I'm use to that. Well I all of sudden started shaking my right leg and arm were going crazy I couldn't stop it. I had to have my husband pick me up because everything on my right side hurt and was shaking. I have the pain from a previous surgery (radial tunnel release) it goes all the way to my neck. I think I was shaking for about 15 mins... Another question I have has anyone had problems with their peripheral vision??? Thanks in… read more
I have problems with my vision in general from PD,,this largely occurs-for me* from the muscles effected around the eyes and associated nystagmus. I have had shakes or tremors occur in places I dont normally have them temporarily..Or occasionally one of the most disturbing things is what dr's have described as "internal tremor" tremors that starts from the inside -the stomach area usually-as if very cold, and radiates to a visible strong tremor all over the body ..its usually brought on by a stressful event or missing my meds for a long period. Very rarely happens but when it does its quite disturbing. Sinemet can cause visual disturbances where you think you see movement out of the corner of the eyes. Its classified as a "hallucination" though its not that in the literal sense. But usually just get dark spots in the peripheral vision or nystagmus or sometimes blurry vision,,Remember, PD effects muscles and the eyes are controlled by muscles. temporary spreading of tremor in places I normally dont get it is fairly common and hasnt been a indicator that its going to permanently spread to those areas- for me anyway.. Ill tell you what most always will, ask your Dr if it concerns you , but this has been my exp.
I get uncontrollable shake when I am under stress, nervous, excited, or cold . An it takes several minutes.
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member I have had problems with my eyes - blepharospasm (uncontrollable) blinking and vision issues...I see an eye Dr which specializes in PD and I have had "prism" reading glasses for just over a year...They are super thick (think coke bottle glasses) but help tremendously as they focus my eyes inward...May be worth talking to your Dr about...
I'll chime in and say stress is what gets me the most...May sound a little strange, and they are actually not easy, but breathing techniques have certainly helped me get through these moments...
My right hand starts trembling slowly and progressing if I don't address it pronto. My husband massages my right hand and arm and that helps.
