I’ve been taking 1mg Azilect since I was first diagnosed 15 years ago . I am not aware of much benefit however I have not deteriorated too much during that period so I will persevere with Azilect for now . Still playing golf off single figures JUST ! —— something must be working

My husband took Azilect and had to stop because it caused severe movement in his legs.

I finally stopped the Azilect as it seemed to be reacting with the rytary to cause severe dizziness and falling. Much better now.

Same here. They've been of no benefit and I was given the same information. It's about the only medication that has not made me sick to my stomach. In fact I've discontinued them all because they make me so sick. I prefer a better quality of life without them.

Azilect/rasagiline? I take 1mg per day. I've not noticed any particular benefit from it but my understanding is that there was a pharmaceutical company sponsored study which suggested small doses were neuroprotective. However, when the obvious step of increasing the dose was tried it made little difference. Results were ultimately inconclusive. As there is little appetite amongst pharmaceutical companies to undertake this type of large-scale research the study is unlikely to be repeated. It's prescribed to me on the basis that it may help but won't harm. When it was first prescribed I was also given some anti nausea tablets but I've never taken them and never felt the need to use yet more bloody medication.
