I'm on trazadone
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, I dont like sleeping tablets but my Dr suggested melatonin which is natural. See if you can read up about it......
I take sleeping pills and find with PD I have very long and vivid dreams along with an occasional hallucination. The dreams usually involve frustration off some sort and I'm glad to wake up from them. But I rather enjoy having visitors during the night since I decided they are people I know but not real.
I have been on 200mg Trazadone per night.
Taking them for years.
As my Parkinsons developed, I began having nightmares. My Neurologist added Klonopin and now I have no problem.
Sorry I meant fluffy toys clapping hands .Gremlins playing tricks with my spelling today
I saw florescent blue tarantulas spinning webs from every ceiling and room corner and saw mice everywhere including under my pillow. I had to change sleeping aids multiple times but I found one that works for me and with no side effects, Keep the faith and keep working with your doctor until you find what works for you, This requires a lot of trial and error and patience and persistence from you and your doctor but you deserve it and sleep deprivation can greatly worsen PD symptoms based on the research I've done and my personal experience.
Praying for all of you to have sweet dreams.
Maria
