Thanks Phil. I appreciate it. My concern was needing more and more over time. I could see that being a problem for me. I will mention it to my dr, but I’ve read it interferes with sleep as well and that’s already a problem. I’ll listen to his opinion, but he’s never brought it up so I don’t know if he’s good with it either. Thanks again though. It’s good to be informed by someone who’s been there.

Hi, i take 800mg of Madopar per day plus sinemet slow realease at night. I also take 2.25mg Sifrol daily. Helps me get through each day and stops the tremoring to a degree, but not all the other symptoms. They say though everyone is different so good luck to you, i wish you the very best. X

Madopar was the best drug for me about 15 years ago. It was the only one that would get me started in the morning and throughout the day........... ( sinister music ) but be extremely careful. As PD gets worse, so the GP will up the dose, until I was addicted ( 6000 mg every 24 hours ) it contributed to ruining my life, no exaggeration. I had to be taken off Madopar immediately and my rescuer came in the form of Duodopa which is much the same drug ,administered a different way.
I wish you all the best.
