I drop everything : my remote control, my cup, my pencil, my cat.PD has made me clumsier .I have to start holding things with a better grip, with more strength in my hands
From my experience as a caregiver who spends a great deal of time researching PD; it is entirely possible to be clumsy in one form or another...ie dropping things, stumbling etc.. all part of the neurodegenerative
process. Some w PD experience this and others don't! God Bless.
Absolutely😉. I drop things and intermittent dyskensia of right foot sometimes causes me to stumble over my own foot.
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member I find when in a super clean up mode I push too long determined to do-it-all and that's when I hit my hand against something or reaching down from a shelf down hard on elbow not so funny bone Ouch! There are hand exercises on the web. A comfortable fitting garden glove to grip things better? Today I clip the cats' toenails. My garden gloves definitely help with that chore!
'Good question
- sometimes stumble due to not picking up one's feet before moving forward
- used to move forward when getting up before having actually stood up
- solution is to mindfully stand up first, then move forward
- occasionally or often, drop things that are in my hands. Sometimes due to fatigue, sometimes not
Same things as @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member except for the putting on makeup. ;-)
I tend to fall asleep when I have some type of liquid in my hand. Like tea or soda or, and this is particularly bad, nail polish (yuck).
