Sue Allan, I have mild cervical dystonia. My movement specialist diagnosed it. It does not bother me so it is not treated at this time. He treats it with Botox injections.
I live in Ireland and all drugs for Parkinson's are free. My brother also has pd and the Irish health department paid for him to have dbs surgery in London. We are so lucky. Hard enough dealing with pd and tben worry ing about insurance.
In answer to the question concerning ACA, I have insurance that I purchased through my employer. I was able to continue my employer plan when I retired. I've carried this plan since I was about 21. It is part of a plan that I can carry for the same price of the plan for continued employees. When I reached 65 Medicare became my primary and my insurance became the secondary. I have never dealt with ACA. I have no complaints as both have paid since I began Medicare. What Medicare doesn't pay the insurance usually picks up. Shalom Jon
I have ACA. Because I had to retire early and was still several years out from being able to qualify for Medicare. (If I'm understanding how Medicare works.). I don't know how it works in your state, but here in Mississippi it can be a challenge finding anyone who will accept it because it pays so little. If I could change anything, it would be how much the max. OOP would be and the deductible.
we have medicare so aca doesn`t affect us, but my son has to pay out almost half his salary to keep it. Lets just wait and see what President Trump does wit this mess.
