Gave me greater mobility
I found it to be very helpful. Recommended by my movement doctor.
I too take Rock Steady. I have noticed that I have more body strength. Of course on bad days all bets are off. Good days, I have more strength, I'm more grounded to my core, walking is very much heel toe.
My husband has Aphasia and Parkinsonism. He was prescribed the Big and Loud Programs by a PT and SLP that came to our home last summer- it was very beneficial then, but he did not keep up with the drills. This Spring, his Speech Therapist is starting the Loud Program with him again. Since Sanul's condition will continue to deteriorate, we aren't getting the same results this time. But it is a good program.
I did the Big & Loud for my voice. It was helpful. One must continue to practice the drills or you may end up repeating the speech therapy.
I got involved with a Rock Steady Boxing Program in Dec 2015. It's early but I feel it is going to help. The program is not only boxing but a combination of exercises including stretching and warm up, strength and core workouts along with agility and cognition activities and cooling down at the end Much of those incorporate exercises that will strengthen your voice.
I just got my Lsvt loud Homework Helper; my family saids they hear the difference in my voice. I lost my voice last November 2015 and speak very softly. My doctor said to listen t the dvd.
