What I do that definitely causes the toe curling to stop within a few minutes is this. Swallow a teaspoon of yellow mustard and stretch your foot. It sounds strange I know. I learned that when there is a long distance race they have tables along the route with bottles of water and packets of mustard for cramps.. I thought it was worth a try and to my surprise it worked. I have had shoes blues for about 4 years. I have had to go to house slippers that resemble shoes. I was given authentic Indian moccasins and love the fit. And ballerina slippers can pass for dress shoes.

Yes. Often. Obviously I can't use my feet until I get the curling to stop. I try drinking a can of v-8 and most times that helps. I also put pressure on those toes by pressing the floor while bending toes the other way. It takes a good 10 to 20 minutes to work it out.

I found this information some time ago http://www.uofmhealth.org/health-library/hw143427
I do the exercises and it seems to help a little.

When you swallow the yellow mustard and stretch your foot the toe curling goes away in a few minutes. I actually quit driving because it was my right foot that was affected and I never knew when it would happen.

Now I keep a couple of mustard packets in my purse and am confident enough to drive.
