I think genetics played a enormous role.Because I was diagnosed with YOPD at age 27. Also,I think toxic chemicals in the environment may had played a role.
Agent Orange caused my friend's PD. He is a Marine who fought in Vietnam. 😔
I am a Vietnam veteran and may have had exposure to Agent Orange, a herbicide. I was also at Camp Lejeune, NC and there toxic water issues. In both cases, the Veteran's Administration (VA) has listed Parkinson's as one of the presumptive illnesses associated with both places. I am now receiving treatment at the VA's Parkinson's clinic/program in San Francisco.

I think genetics played a major role in my PD. Both my Paternal Uncles have Parkinson's and my Mom had some kind of neurological disease that caused tremors, and she lost the ability to walk . Also I am of Eskenazi Jewish heritage. I'm doomed
