the meds he is on are sinemet , madopar , clonazepam and citalopram . He did fall in the bath about 6 weeks ago and bang the back of his head but had no reaction to this .
Thank you Cheryl this sounds exactly like my husband. I am sure it will be nothing to worry about.
@LindaAnneRichardson Hi. My Dad also suffers from PD and he suffers terribly from headaches. Because he takes blood thinners the only pain meds he can take are paracetamol which he says is useless. The drugs you mention are not familiar to me so he is not taking them. The Drs cannot find a cause for the headaches, he has had 2 CT scans. They are attributing it to anxiety. We also think its possible he is not able to articulate where the actual pain is and as he has had headaches all his life, this is his way of expressing himself. Wishing you and your husband well.
We now have an answer to everything .Apparently he has had a small stroke at sometime in the past and could have more in the future. It left a scare on his brain ,but this brought on the Parkinson's and the dementia at a faster rate. This must have happened about 5 years ago when he had his first episode of headache and panic attacks.
Check with neurologist and/or pharmacist.
He is not on any medication for the dementia yet, they wanted to get him settled on the sinemet first.
