my husband could sleep day and night. Sometimes he gets up eats breakfast and goes back to bed and sleeps till 4pm, gets up eats and sits on patio an hour or two then goes to recliner in house to watch tv and sleeps off and on in chair then will get up at different times each night and goes to bed. He is nearly 79.
I am 79 and wish I could sleep more. I wake up at 3:00 every morning. I was diagnosed 13 years ago.
My husband been sleeping a lot the last few days. I keep telling him to watch TV go for a walk . He keeps telling me later. Well we have a new aid helping us. So tomorrow I'm going to have to tell him he has to walk my him ever day. It worries me he's 80 and has had Parkinson's for 7 years. I can't do for him like I always did. I have back and knee problem.
My partner is the same. Imentioned it to his nurse, she said it was his conditipn. I was't impressed surely some thing could be done
For the PD patient having trouble staying awake ask your neurologist about Nuvigil or something that can help. Patients can have a life with PD and enjoy their days wide awake.
on bad days my husband does the same sleeps almost all day last few nights he has been getting up around 3 am and just sits in chair for about 10 minutes theni get him back to bed he gets up atleast 2 times a night for bathroom break and always wakes me to take him better now as he did this about 5-6 times a night for quite awhile today he is back in bed only got up for about 1 and a half hour will sleep for 2-3 hours but will be real awake this evening and allert cant tell .then as he is as normal as can be dont understand but thats the way it is
