Thank you Gary for the info I do know about medical marijuana and I will look into it as a supplement to my carbo/levo
Theresa ,
Most of the time , I usually start my bedtime 🌙 at 7:00 PM because I take my last medication at 8:00 PM . But you need more than an interrupted sleep schedule , I just got a new strain of medical marijuana for sleeping 😴 and so far it's working fine . My brain 🧠 gets shut down pretty quickly , no thinking of things that make no sense , just pure sleep . Don't get me wrong I'm still getting up around 4:AM but I'm well rested and ready to start my fight with all the problems that come with having Parkinson disease . I still believe that half of our problems are because we can't get enough sleep each and every day , which would be a problem for a person without Parkinson disease , but doubles down for us . And believe me when I tell you that when I go to the dispensary ,there's a lot of people my age and older using medical Marijuana for pain , anxiety and sleep disorders . I know this is not what you wanted to hear but marijuana is natural , pills are not . Doctors have my 88 year old mother hooked on opioids for pain from neck surgery and I've tried to get her to try medical marijuana , but she won't even though the pills Most of the time don't do anything . I hope you can get some more sleep soon , and don't forget to pray 🙏 and ask our Lord and Savior for help ..... 🤍
My bedtime is at 7 I sleep for a few hours and then up for a while then I go back to sleep I sleep for a few more hours and then back to sleep I'm usually up by 7 for a few hours and I can't keep my eyes open and have to sleep again I sleep a couple more hours then I'm up until 7 and it starts all over again I have always had chronic insomnia all my life but Parkinson's has changed that so I guess that is one thing good Parkinson's has done for me though I do wish I wasn't sleeping quite so much
Extreme Fatigue ,and how to manage it . Boys that's a tricky question , but I think 🤔 you should do whatever you can , on days you can and rest and relax knowing that you gave it all you could . Don't worry and get stressed out about what you can't do but instead be happy and thankful for what you still can do . And I still believe that we get Fatigue from lack of good sleep 😴 💤 , and most everyone who know and love me , that medical marijuana is or at least for me helps me get to sleep and stay asleep and now more and more States are at least making medical marijuana available to people with severe diseases like Parkinsons disease . If your state doesn't allow it you usually can get it in a State wear it's legal , I know people who drive 8 hours to get it , you just can't buy as much as people who live there . I don't abuse the medical marijuana and on my homepage you can see that one is for pain and one is for sleeping , my pastor knows I use it , and so does GOD , I've been fighting my whole life and I'm not giving up soon , so try and be strong and happy , and never forget to ask God for help ... 🤍
For me, it is not being able move or make decisions. If I am in bed I just roll over and go back to sleep, over and over and over... If I'm up it means not being to able to get off the recliner to go back to bed. Many times that is how my whole day goes. Sometimes days on end go that way. By then I realize that my meds need to be increased because the Parkinson’s is "progressing"! I always enjoy a time of increased energy and reduced symptoms YAY!!
