Palm Bay, FL

Does anyone on sinemet enjoy a glass of beer or wine now and then? I'm afraid to try it because I read cautions against it but now and then it would be nice to feel normal again.

Thanks Wayne! Yes I do need to lighten up. My husband always tells me that.

I did have a glass of wine tonight and the world did not come to an end.

I live in Florida

Deborah you have PD not cancer. Yes you can have a beer or wine just apply common sense. I take Siminet every two hours and drink very little but you have to live and if you feel like a wine or beer have one. Lighten up PD must not rule your life you sound a lovely lady stop the research and reading all about side effects. Trust yourself and live life. The key to beating this disease is to accept it and be positive.

I have half a glass of Merlot whenever eating Italian Food (LOL). Any more than that leads to sleep problems. I like wine, so if I really want more, I'll add a lot of ice and Seltzer to "stretch" a half glass to full (LOL)

I only have a drink if I'm eating a meal, some times just half so I can enjoy the taste again, it does affect my medication if I drink on empty stomachs or too much, not every day tho
