I had DBS done May 30, 2012 and was the very best thing for me. I had the surgery done on wed, generator put in on Fri., went home sat., and attended church on Sun. Have never looked back. Amen

I had DBS November 2016. I cannot take the Parkinson's medications so DBS was a good choice for me. My tremors and slowness of movement have slowed considerably.

Yes... I had the DBS surgery two years ago.. It has helped..especially with dyskinesia..But it has been difficult to balance the meds and the DBS...I am on Rytary..and the freezing has improved..

I'm a disabled veteran and use the VA dokey for my treatments and meds. On carbo/ leva plus ropinerole. Have been on same meds ( various doses ) for many years. Never heard of Neupro or Rytary. Anyone else in VA system. They are very good to me but perhaps behind on newer meds. I am freezing, trouble swallowing , etc.

I am on meds and they are helping greatly since they were increased this week. I am considering the deep brain stimulation. I don't want dementia to set in.
