I live in uk , I was having side effects on meds had a lot of interviews to see if my brain was ok , not forgetful and was able to do memory tests and answer every day questions . , I was youngish but every age group has had d b s , if you had a good outlook on life in general , Im a fighter so I was very posotive with my parkinsons , Im only half way on the tuning part so I hope it will be a success . The ops themselves didnt worry me at all and if it doesnt work for you you can have it removed. Its a personal thing really but im feeling the benefit allready .

If I remember correctly 3 to 5 years having pd, good mental outlook , good respond to meds that have been taken. Please note that DBS has helped me in so many ways, I still take my meds 4 Times per day , I can walk, talk, and communicate with others I have no tremors as long as I take my meds on time.
